Legal Miscellaneous IV
Elements of national, comparative and supranational
constitutional jurisdiction
Alfonso Herrera García
Book published as number 129 of the Porrúa Library of
Constitutional Procedural Law, due to the pen of one of the most prolific and
important authors of the Spanish-American constitutional process, which in
spite of his youth is surprising due to the number and depth of his works.
Well called "Elements" we have a book that
compiles various works by the author, some in co-authorship, on subjects such
as judicial power, new amparo (mexian habeas corpus) trial, constitutional
justice in Spain and Peru, as well as the relationships between national courts
and supranational justice system, and the suspension of guarantees in the
inter-American human rights system. As can be seen, there is a very necessary
approach from the comparison of systems and processes.
Excellent work to know the main issues of
Constitutional Procedural Law in a way that combines theoretical knowledge with
the exegesis of legal texts and sentences. The same is advisable for teachers
and lawyers as well as for students who already know the Constitutional Law and
the Procedure Theory.
It makes us expect from the author a true treatise on
the subject.
